Dedicated contribution made by troops of the 11 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) for the success of the ‘Poson’ zone - 2016 in Kandy came in for commendation by the office of the Governor for Central Province.
The office in connection with the Poson season conducted a series of spiritual programmes, inclusive of Dhamma sermons, Bodhi Poojas, Dansel, display of Poson lanterns, donation of essentials, etc during June 13 - 19 in the suburbs of Kandy town.
11 Division Headquarters contributed to the programmes in front of the Sri Dalada Maligawa and Dangolla Sri Wimaladharma Pirivena Temple during this period by way of supplying cultural troupes and holding a free gram Dansela on account of the Poson zone in Kandy. In addition, on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 11 Division made the services of the troops available for different requirements related to the arrangements.
The letter of commendation sent to the 11 Division Headquarters at Pallekelle appreciates the contribution of the 11 Division Headquarters.
