General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 11 Division under the Security Force Headquarters –Central (SFHQ-Cen), Major General Tissa Nanayakkara on Sunday (19) had an inspection tour to ensure all security details, regarding the conduct of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Esala Perahera in Kandy remain intact.
11 Division Headquarters is partly entrusted with a share of responsibility as regards public security during the festive season and coordinates all security matters with the Police, sister services and other voluntary organizations.
During his tour, he observed the progress of scheduled security arrangements and inspected the operational room, from where all security matters are coordinated.
