Troops serving the 11 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) organized Shramadana campaigns during 9-10 February in different areas on the instructions of Major General D.S.N.K. Senadheera, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division.
On Tuesday (9) troops of the 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), attached to the 111 Brigade cleaned the Bowalawaththa Children’s Home premises at the request of the Chief Matron at the Children’s Home.
Troops collected garbage in the compound and transported them out of the premises and supported minor repairs to the home.
On Wednesday (10), 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps (SLRC) troops meanwhile offered their labour assistance to clean the Raithalawa Sri Sumangalarama Viharaya premises in Ukuwela, Matale. Troops assisted the removal of soil mounds in the compound at the request of the temple incumbent.
The Chief Incumbent and the Matron of the Children’s Home thanked the Army for their assistance.
