100 More Push Bicycles Gifted to Kilinochchi School Goers

One more project for distribution of 100 push bicycles, sponsored by the ‘Guna Sathuta Jaya Padanama’ (Foundation of Goodness) among school children in Kilinochchi got underway on Sunday (23) following arrangements, coordinated by the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN).

The distribution programme, held in Mankulam school as a part of the ongoing SFHQ-KLN civil-military coordination received the blessings of Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi.

Those recipient children were selected through from schools and Grama Seva officials after close surveys considering their economic conditions and other factors.

Representing the Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, Major General Sarath Weerawardena, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division attended as the Chief Guest for the day’s event.

Brigadier Anura Sudasinghe, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Brigadier Jagath Rathnayake, Brigadier General Staff, SFHQ - KLN, Brigadier Ranjith Abeysinghe, Brigade Commander, 651 Brigade, Mr Kusil Jayasekara, Chairman, ‘Foundation of Goodness’ and members, senior military officers and parents of students, teachers witnessed the event.
