It was again Sinigama South ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ (Foundation of Goodness), chaired by Mr Kushil Gunasekara which donated 100 push bicycles and sport boots to the students at Kilinochchi Maha Vidyalaya.
In response to a request made by 57 Division Headquarters, those 100 push bicycles and sport boots were distributed among school students on Saturday (16) during a ceremony held at 571 Brigade Headquarters.
Push bicycles are a common mode of transport for many youngsters in this region due to shortage of public transport facilities. Brigadier K.R.P Rowel, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Colonel Nanda Hathurusinghe, Commander, 571 Brigade, senior Army officers, students, teachers and parents attended the distribution ceremony.
