A ‘Bodhi Pooja’, organized by 1 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) on account of ‘Medin’ Poya Day got underway at the Muladeepa Temple, Mullaittivu on Sunday (12).
Ven Thissapura Gunarathana Thero, the resident monk at Muladeepa Temple conducted the ‘Dhamma’ sermon.
During the event, blessings were invoked on all serving soldiers and merits transferred to the dead during the arrangement.
The ‘Bodhi Pooja’ event was arranged on the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT), Major General Dampath Fernando with a view to promoting spiritual values.
Representing the Commander, Security Forces - MLT, Colonel N.P.K Jayawardene Colonel Administration & Quartering, SFHQ-MLT, together with officers and other ranks attended the programme.
