‘Healthy Army - Healthy Nation’ Enlightens Kilinochchi & Diyatalawa Troops

One more round of the ongoing ‘Healthy Army-Healthy Nation’ (HAHN) campaign in the Army got underway on Thursday (24) at the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) and Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) in Diyatalawa.

Lectures to that effect were conducted by the Medical Officer, Major R.P.U Prasanna on the importance of leading a healthy life. 10 officers and 120 other ranks listened to the informative lecture at the SFHQ-KLN.

Meanwhile, on the instructions of the Commander Security Forces – Central, Major General P.U.S Vithanage, another similar lecture, on the same theme was conducted by Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Brigadier I.O.W Madola in the main auditorium at the Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) in Diyatalawa on Monday (28).

During the programme, the troops were educated on illnesses, caused by consumption of alcohol, smoking, oily foods and sweetmeats.

47 officers and 9 Sergeant Majors were present there to listen to the lecture at the VFTS.
