'Walawe Supercross' Stuns Crowds at Sevanagala


The 5th ‘Walawe Supercross - 2015’, kicked off  Sunday (13) to a thrilling and exciting start at the Udawalawe Supercross track in Sevanagala, Udawalawe, amidst a huge gathering of spectators, including a host of motor enthusiasts.

The event organized by Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME), has received the fullest blessings of The Sri Lanka Motor Cycle Club (SLMCC), making the event to be of international standards with stunning racing possibilities.  

Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Adjutant General, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.  

On arrival at the venue, the Chief Guest was received by Brigadier P.S.R.L. Rajakaruna, Colonel Commandant, SLEME and other senior officers.

The year's most exciting and thrilling experience of the SLEME calendar included 25 events with the participation of over 150 veterans in the field of motor-racing where they will be competing in a gravel track to match with international standards.

Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe as a keen enthusiast witnessed the day’s stunning feats and distributed a section of the trophies to the winners as the Chief Guest towards the conclusion of the event.
