THE foundation erecting one of the ‘Abimansala’ (Wellness Resort) buildings at Anuradhapura is fast nearing completion as work is now in full swing.
Soldiers attached to Corps of Engineer Services have already undertaken ground preparations and foundation-laying work at ‘Abimansala’ at Anuradhapura after the foundation-laying stone was laid by the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya as recent as 15th May 2010.
The construction under the ‘Brave Hearts’ project, as proposed by the Commander of the Army and launched by the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) presided by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya is to house totally dependent War Heroes for rest and relaxation under this special arrangement. The project with separate villas and cottages, medical and health equipment, gymnasiums is to be expanded to other districts too in the future.
