    The Nalanda College Old Boys’ Association America in the US (NCOBAA) donated a sum of US$ 6,156 (about Rs. 700,000) towards the “Ranaviru Dudaru Scholarship” fund at Ministry of Defence (MoD) to be used for the education of children in War Hero families. This donation was made recently to both Secretary Defence Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, President, MoD Seva Vanitha Unit at a private meeting, held at the official residence.....

    FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Amuthavasagam Lourthamma is one of the 94 inmates at the state-run rehabilitation centre for LTTE child.soldiers who have either surrendered or been captured, which is located at Ambepussa, about 70 km on the Colombo-Kandy road, There are 44 girls on the rolls here, and what is special about Lourthamma is that her brother, older by just a year, is also there for rehab.
