  • LTTE Terrorists Threaten Doctors

    AMPARA: TWO ARMED LTTE TERRORISTS at about 3.30 - 4.00 a.m. on Tuesday (20) held a pistol to the head of one of the two doctors who were Sinhalese working at the THIRUKKOVIL hospital and threatened to kill them unless they left the hospital immediately. The SLMM was informed. Muslim Grama Niladhari Shot By LTTE AMPARA: GRAMA NILADHARI MOHIDEEN BAWA NURDEEN attached to the SAMANTHURAI Police was abducted from his house at No. 2, MOHIDEEN Mawatha, KALATCHCHAL at about 8.00 p.m. on Monday (19) by a LTTE terrorist armed with a T-56. He was later shot about 50 yards away from his home. Investigations are proceeding.
