Three Hand Grenades Found from Abandoned Land in Moratuwa
Three unusable hand grenades have been recovered from an abandoned land in No. 404, Rawatawatte, Moratuwa on Friday evening (04 October). The grenades had been found when the land was being cleaned.
Air Force Bomb Squad had defused these grenades. Moratuwa Police are conducting further investigations.
A total of 335 troops, including 35 officers from 111 Brigade, 112 Brigade and their Battalions under the Security Force Headquarters-Central on the guidelines given by the Commander of the Army carried out a mega cleaning project from Nallanthanniya up to the foot of the sacred Sri Paada peak on Monday (11).
